Dance Dance in Escada *style.com*
I will be the first to admit that nothing about Kerry Washington’s stereotypically “single black mama” role in teen hit “Save the Last Dance” impressed me all that much. Her endless supply of scarves atop that “natural” do? Umm…no thanks!
It was off-screen that I fell in love with this alumna of Spence School and George Washington U. She brings a bevy of beauty to not only red-carpet appearances, but also haute fashion parties and her everyday life. Speaking of that day-to-day life, Ms. Washington is no one-trick pony. She devotes ample time to political activism by wrangling with polarizing politico Bill Mahr on his television show, while continuing to show her celeb support for President O.

Wanna spar, Mr. Mahr? *theybf.com*
And of course, I am overjoyed to see a girl who is brown like me showing Hollywood some sartorial sizzle. Whether rocking Zac Posen, Doo.Ri or the finest Chanel, Kerry is a designer darling whose “shuttin’ it down” percentage is around 99.3%. Rachel Zoe would be so proud!
Enough of my “Kerry”-ing on, bring on the haute shots.
