All right, HighEnders are you ready Review Round Two?
Cynthia Rowley
- “Tie Dye For”- Rowley displays this haute hippie staple in washed out perfection. It’s gorgeous and subtle- super HighEnd, never FlowerChild
- “Keep BOW-ing Me Over”- Rowley’s bow slingbacks make me totally blissful. Seeing all these bow details on the runway makes the look less girly and more glam
- “All Torn Up”- The small rips aren’t my favorite, but they’re off-beat and add a little personality to the collection’s simple shift dresses and pants
- “Peplum Up the Volume”- Subtle hints of the skirtx2 trend invokes a sense of sassy sophistication. Peplum is such a flattering shaped for a petite pencil shape like Mimi
- “ShortShorts”- Need.Want.Gotta have shorts. Love the infusion of shorts into the traditional suit set. All over the runways since Chole S/S ’09. Cheeky-Chic Corporate.
Final Review- Rowley presented a collection that appeals to all ages and tastes. It’s stylish, but above all- wearable and womanly. I am dreaming of myself in nearly every flirty mini.

Jason Wu
- “2-Piece Suit”- I love that Wu offers so many separates. Shows empathy for modern woman’s chaotic lifestyle and her need for practicality during these shit-tank financial times. (Yep, shit-tank is a technical financial term)
- “Pretty, Pretty Prints-ess”- Totally wowed by Wu’s funky, but thoughtful mix of prints. Possibly ethnic meets sort-of geometric in the most effortless way. Returning to that idea of practicality, the prints aren’t too “look at me” for office
- “Chambray Cha-Cha-Cha”- That little denim romper (or dress) is beyond adorable. I would walk that entire look right off that glammed out runway
- “Rose is a Rose”- Wu employs rosette details in the least heavy-handed or frilly way. I would love to see that dress on the red carpet. Wu’s muse Leighton Meester would be stupid-chic in that frock
Final Review- Youthful collection that mixed prints, materials and silhouettes. Interesting without being “fashion weird” (Ya know exactly what I mean)
All right, chicsters, so much more to come!
