Despite all evidence to the contrary, HighEnd style does exist below the Mason-Dixon line. And I’m not just stickin’ up for the Dirty South because I am a Memphis girl through and through. Nope, no hometown bias here. There is plenty of fashion in America’s nether regions that has nothing to do with cowboy boots, coveralls and 10 gallons. And on a recent trip home, I discovered just how much Southern style there is at super-chic boutique Joseph.
From Chloe to Lavin, Donna Karen to Hermes, Joseph specializes in top-notch designer duds. Every corner of this dazzler of a store hides a sartorial surprise so intoxicating, so sinful that it’s just about exhausting! DVF to the left, Ericson Beamon over right. And don’t forget the Loubs over yonder! (The Southern thing doesn’t just evaporate, y’all!)
O, and Joseph brings the beauty beyond apparel…literally. Deborah Lippman nail polish in a whole slew of hues. Bobbi Brown covering counters and an entire Bond No. 9 section. Yep, a Bond No. 9 section! If there’s one thing a Southern-chic shop should have, it’s a bevy of beauty. And Joseph does not disappoint. I even scored a few bottles of Lippman lacquer for half off during my most recent trip!
So, if you have find yourself in the Home of Delta Blues, head straight towards the King…of couture that is! Sorry, Elvis, but Joe has you beat on this one ;)
