Well thanks to the sartorial storm of Rachel Zoe and Co., the hands behind the scene have become just as intriguing. So, voila! An entirely different pool of inspiration. Since before I even knew what to call it, I have dreamed of being a stylist- celeb, citizen, cat, WHATEVER. My Sunday night ritual 6th grade on was to make five devastatingly debonair, totally thoughtful, yet classroom chic outfits for my school week. The back and forth from the bathroom to bedroom in a dozen different outfits entertained my parents endlessly, and they still poke fun at my meticulous notebooks that held ensembles ranging from 1997-2004. What can I say?  I live to make happy little outfit families. Mama blouse+papa pants+sister shoes+brother bag= sartorial satisfaction!

My latest Monday’s Muse installment features two of the hautest stylists in the game- Monica Rose of Kardashian fame and Britt Bardo, who’s responsible for Cammy D.’s effortless chic.  I admire these women because they are able to meld their impeccable personal styles with those of some of Hollywood’s Hautest to create a sort of Fashion Frankenstein! And the fact that they have been incredibly successful in my greatest fashion aspiration adds exponentially to their muse-hood.

Britt Bardo

Who doesn’t love the “country gal makin it big” tale? Ok, so that’s not exactly Britt Bardo’s story, but she is a Midwest girl from Ohio, so close enough. I adore the fact that she trekked to NYC after college because she knew styling was “her thing” as much as I love her tough-chic(k) style.
