blog boos

i know i’ve said it time and time again, but i absolutely LOVE blogs. fashion, home, cooking, lifestyle- whateva the subject- if it is well-done, stylish, un-pretentious, and a true extension of the creator than i am in all the way.

the blog boom has certainly made way for some baddddddddd blogs (no name-naming, but why does everyone think he/she is a fashion expert?!?!?!?); but on the more optimistic flip of the coin, there are some incredible bloggers out there- really the most creative, self-aware, stylish people EVER, and i want to share some of my new faves with you!

  • Nini’s Style– I literally almost passed out the first time I saw this tiny, gorgeous woman! Her style is breathtakingly fresh and HighEnd without the snob factor. She is a stylist and designer and my newest fashion icon. Nini, you did it on ’em (’em being me)!
  • Brooklyn Blonde– My favorite thing about any blog is not just the impeccable outfits or covetable clothes, but the genuine feel of it; and Ms. Brooklyn Blonde has some super sincere style. She shows beautiful, but attainable ensembles from sources that nearly all of us have in our closets. Reading her blog is like playing “3 outfits” with my big sister- fashion fun that just never gets old.
  • Guerrisms– my sister and I can literally sit for hours and droooooooool over this incredible streetstyle blog.  It is what the author doesn’t post that makes me know he has one of the most gifted eyes in street photography…editing is sometimes the key to the most stylish moments. He captures awe-inspiring fashion instances that make me want to play in my closet for days on end. And he manages to highlight the fashion world’s non-lilly white side: folks of color!
  • Ok, so Karla’s Closet may not be a new blog to me- it has literally been in my blog roll for 2 years now- but if I had to pick one style site to go to the grave with Karla wins no question. When I say homegirl is the real deal, I mean that in every aspect– she lives for beautiful clothes, has the body to make anything look devastating and doesn’t take herself too seriously. You’re not gonna find some loooooooooong, faux-deep soliloquy with every post because she is too busy killin’ it in vintage and off-the-rack. I don’t know Karla beyond a few tweets, but I like to think of her as my blogger bff. (stalker muchhhhhhh?)
All right, HighEnders, I have given you my blog boos- go forth and read stylishly!
