kelis’ 2010 flawless album fleshtone is an animal- a g.o.a.t. to be exact.

each track melts into the next to form a perfect whole. the production is breathtaking, the lyrics taken from her rib. i love this cd because kelis explores the exhausting highs and lows of loving someone beyond yourself. within a single track you can hear how much she adores her son and misses the good times with her ex-husband.

this cd literally woke me up- i remember packing to move into the city and hearing  “I was super cool but now I’m super strong…” and my head nearly exploding. it was time to get strong and BRAVE and proud of winning.

this is handsdown one of the most underrated albums of the past decade. listen from start to finish- i promise, you’ll love it.
