i was literally about to get in the shower when an overwhelming longing for nyc and a need to put pen to paper overtook me.

i am so annoying/melodramatic about that dirty + chaotic, but also completely fucking perfect place.

this list is straight off the rip, and barely scratches the surface on my nyc non-negotiables. alas, here it is!

• all i ever do is talk about Lil Frankie’s. pasta limone on my headstone.
• nyc fitness is the gold standard- dancebody + soulcycle = my entire 2012-2017
• i had a blue chip day that involved $400 bottegas + my Staud tommy bag + a 40 carrots plain fro-yo topped with granola. it’s located on the home floor of bloomingdale’s @ 59th street as my madman handwriting above suggests, and reminds me of walks home from macy’s with my nyc bff.
• the vibes at 1st/1st ave are simply elite. this intersection has seen me run from a rat in a box at 4am (towards Lil Frank’s), get into a cab with a boy, get into a cab with a most hilarious drunken friend, wear some of my most impeccable outfits, devour whole foods salad bar to-go, be simply delighted at how handsome a dinner companion looks, and just generally embody my highest-energetic self. god bless downtown manhattan.
• i am fully obsessed with the fifth floor of Bergdorf’s. nothing further.
• summer 2022 was my BRS era– i literally went weekly in June/July and no, did not move back to nyc to do so. crunchy rice + sakana san shu ambassador.
• nyc bff lived at the most perfect intersection in all of the w. village and graciously welcomed me into her home annually+ for almost a decade. my second address is @ charles street.
• speaking of second homes, i have spent the better part of the past two years checking in/out of the hotel eventi. the staff are my family, and any suite on floors 10 and above is my little cocoon above the madness of midtown.
• we’ve discussed this.
• miss lilly’s on houston (now further downtown) was my go-to for the crispiest chicken and waffles + island vibes, blackness and overall nyc coolness. recently, i went for the first time in a while, and was immediately transported to a post-Sat workout brunch with above handsome meal companion.
