my goodness, i have fallen in love with my new summer beauty routine.

the #1 heartthrob behind my warm weather look is the keratin treatment i shared here. it has allowed me to create a sexy, messy, no-fussy hair routine that is giving 2019 summer girl. more on that shortly.

overall, i am hitting peak HWDGAF** right in time for peak summer, and the London trip that was just the greatest of all time (or since Jan)!

my summer best:

• hair– let’s start with the MVP! thanks to my spring keratin, i can wash my hair 1-2x/week, air-dry, braid, beach wave and hit the town looking like an early ’00s supermodel. my key products are goop’s scalp scrub (cult!), taraji’s co-wash, living proof’s detangling rinse, sol de janeiro’s leave-in conditioner, a slew of oils, this waver and a cloud of hairspray. seriously, i apply dynasty-era levels of this or classic morrocan oil luminous. mimi bundchen!
• skin– my skin thrives in the summer because i embrace the sweatiness of it all; whether i’m on a few miles walk, sitting poolside or simply evaporating in the southern sun! i rely on so much water, gentle cleansers/moisturizers and nearly zero active ingredients because of said evaporation in the sun. my new fave product is la roche posay’s cicaplast balm. it had to grow on me, but is excellent for a final swipe of non-greasy mega moisture! i recently required a boatload of bargain gems from the UK holy grail boots, so will be posting about that next week.
• beauty– y’all, i wear makeup again! it’s basically the routine of a middle-schooler, but IIWI. love this charlotte tillbury dupe by elf + this randomly cheap mally bronzer + my ride or die anastasia eye brow powder for an everything base. an orangey-pink cream blush is my go-to for a flirty, feminine look which i top off with many coats of mascara, and a red-based lip liner paired with mac’s whirl. in short, my summer makeup inspo is an aperol spritz!
