Since the downfall of the classic Hollywood celebrity machine, we have been mostly relegated to street style for the majority of our celeb sightings. People’s Star Tracks— our most reliable news source in 2025! While the days of the A-list Star are quite firmly behind us, I do enjoy the more IRL celeb look and have been drawing a ton of style inspo from pap shots.
In this post, I am going to highlight some recent celeb standouts with notes on how I would rework them for the Average Jill’s closet!
One of my all-time favorite hot girls is Jessica Alba! Since late summer, she has been on a NYC spree, promoting Lord knows what, but looking mighty fine along the way. Dare I say, divorce is suiting her?
This blue-forward all-leather look is killer because Jess balances the boldness of the color palette with the boldness of being smokin’ hot! I die for her perfect hair and gold hoops, and can we please give it up for the well-placed white stiletto? Ever the businesswoman, she likely whipped this look together for an Honest Beauty Q3 financial planning meeting! I would re-imagine the styling for real life in all black or olive green leather and sub the heels for a high boot, but keep the un-fussy hair and hoops via these Jennifer Fishers.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is her Cali Casual in the City look, complete with a giant Mt. Valley spring water and her new Marvel beau! I adore the throwback windbreaker paired with a perfect cherry-red Chanel flap. She’s rocking hoops once again, and puts them together with classic Wayfarers in glossy black and a white knit thrown over her shoulders. I would love to recreate this look in more muted shades of green and blue, obviously paired with the iconic Yankees x MoMA hat and Elisa Johnson shades in this incredible shape. Will also accept a Marvel Movie Man.
Moving on to some new sources of inspiration, I have no clue who Grace Van Patten is, but what I do know is that the girl looks good! I adore the proportions of the blazer and the miniskirt in the most perfect charcoal grey. I would go straight to The Frankie Shop for their spot-on assorted shades of grey. Also, the hair is just perfection– these are the undone waves of my dreams. Like Miss. Alba, Grace is letting good face and minimal hair/make-up do their thing.
Oh, Greta Lee, how you thrill me! As much as I love her turn as the chaotic-clever Stella of The Morning Show, Greta’s real style is Nobel Peace Prize winning content. She completely captivates every single red carpet and can work a high-fashion brand partnership with the ease of a 90’s A-lister. She would have killed in the GP/Jen An era! When I saw Greta turning the simplest of airport looks into a full moment, I knew I had to include her on this list. This ensemble showcases just how adept she is with proportions. The sleeve cuff hitting right at her pinkie finger and straight leg jeans hemmed just at mid-loafer. We are dealing with a MFing professional, people! Love the v. non-Dior tote and the just-small-enough sunnies. I will recreate the look with what I already have in my closet, including my newly tailored vintage Levi’s— but unfortunately, not that CD tote. A cheeky L.L. Bean Boat & Tote could stand in perfectly! A through-line of all 3 ladies— minimal hair and makeup. It’s almost as if being naturally hot is a pre-req for fame!**shrugs**
Why have One Greta, when you can have Two? Miss. Ma’am is rocking more Dior and looking very, very pre-2010 famous. I’m not normally one for an all-white look, but GL looks beyondddd in this skirt suit. She is going full City Hall cool-girl in her grandmother’s vintage bridal. The skirt length is perfect for showcasing those enviable legs (game recognize game!) and the sweet bow at the collar juxtaposed with Trinity x The Matrix black sunnies is chess, not checkers. Patiently waiting for a marriage proposal so that I can recreate this look down to Willem Defaoe!
Rosie is one of my all-time fashion and lifestyle icons! She is beyond stunning, and manages a mix of traditional English sensibility with absolute Hollywood glam. Above all else, her business acumen is sharp but restrained– she has steadily built a company and brand image that continues to top “best of” lists without inundating the zeitgeist. It also doesn’t hurt that her life partner is one of the original action star hotties. RWH is running on all cylinders, and that’s how I’m trying to operate as well. My favorite thing about Rosie’s look is that it’s so good while barely doing anything at all. The leather jacket is perfectly rough and tumble juxtaposed against her salon waves. I love those sharp black boots with what I believe is a drawstring pant (!) and a sleek clutch. I would re-create with my go-to vintage leather, waves via this tool, and these pull-on sweater pants from Free People. My bag picks– save, save-ish,, and splurge/j’adore!
I am obsessed with Tessa Thompson, because she is Hollywood-famous but in such an irreverent, cool-girl way. She is Marvel, she is Indie Black Film, she is Creed, she is NYC Fashion! We know how I feel about a dichotomous moment. Because TT is so irreverent cool-girl ™️, it is often hard to catch a glimpse of her, so whenever she pops up in Style Tracks, I am there taking notes. Now I don’t just love this all-black look because it is Chanel. That obviously helps, but what draws me to the styling is how unexpectedly pedestrian it appears at first glance. Black jacket, black pants, black sweater, and white tee. Nothing special, right? However, like anything worth looking at, the second inspection is where all the good shit pops. You already know how I feel about Chanel patent leather, and I love that Tessa’s jacket has such an understated collar but with button details that shimmer with just enough Coco Chanel panache. The open weave on the sweater can be recreated here, and if you have not uncovered an early 2000’s black trouser from the back of your closet– just wtf have you been doing?!? I have stopped spending too much on white tees, simply because I destroy them! Of course, I love TT’s accompanying micro-French manicure and mocha-based make-up. Sacheu’s peel-off lip stain in Mauh-ve has proven to be my perfect neutral lip.
Ok, let’s hear it for the Boys— Orlando Bloom, OG Hollywood Hot Boy, to be specific! I don’t know about you, but I am still thinking about his lil shorts at that shitshow of a Sanchez-Bezos wedding in June! Bringing us to this season, Mr. Legalos (yes, I am a big LOTR nerd!) nailed casual dressing with a rollneck, perfectly normal denim, lace-up boots and a totally smokin’ hot face– a trend!— for a NYC stroll. This is an outfit that can easily go from your man —> you within 48 hrs. All you need is a s/o who even remotely listens, a fantastic neutral sweater and everyone’s personally preferred jeans. I have an ex’s collection of sweaters/sweatshirts that are still some of my most prized sartorial possessions. Let’s call in Alex Mill for this– options here, here and spend his money here. And a Prada loafer for the girls! Because why the fuck not?
Funnnn, right? I have a camera roll chock full of celeb street style, so we’re going to make this a regular feature. Well, as regular as a person who posts irregularly can manage :) Love yaaa Xx
