Stripes weren’t really on Mimi’s mind until I spotted this post on the fab-funky blog whowhatwear.com that has become my FashionFacebook. “OMG! Look at what Rihanna, ScarJo and (insert Model-Off-Duty) is rockin’ today….ugh, I’m so jeal!” (Ya know high school speech is not only expected, but mandatory when Facebook-living).
So, anyways, I got so ga-ga for the classic print, I even wore a striped shirt out that night. I know, I know- I get a little obsessed. But after some stripe searching, I found some styles that will have you lining up to buy.
Here we go:
This slightly unorthodox take on stripes from Banana Republic would add a little spice to that otherwise blah standard suit . Or pair with a leather mini for a haute night on the town.

Don't Matter if You're Black&White *bananarepublic.com*

GreyMatter Silence&Noise $48 *urbanoutfitters.com*
For just a bite of stripe, take the pattern to your accessories. This gorgeous resin cuff by Luc Kieffer has a classic black and white combo, but will add more panache than your gold standard bangles. I suggest going totally hipster and throwing it on with any&everything that doesn’t exactly match.

Stripes&Scarves Daftbird $22 *revolveclothing.com*
And you already know I go ape for Tory! This striped satchel is so versatile it can carry you from scorching summer to fabolous fall, lunch break to happy hour. I would pair it with subdued apparel and a crazy-color shoe. Hmmm….I’m thinking 80’s neon lime. True to form, TB has style in the bag…literally!

ZebraChic Love YaYa $198 *shopbop.com*
This Rainbo-Brite Thread Social dress is perfect for the girl who likes her stripes hautely hued. It’s a mishmash of colors and directions, but tempered with a subtle shoe the look is CaliGirlCool. Can’t you just imagine some wavy-haired beauty strutting down Robertson Blvd in this funky frock?

CandyGirl *shopbop.com*

Sonia<3Stripes Sonia by Sonia Rykiel $385 *net-a-porter.com*
For a fashion-forward face, add bold make-up to any of the striped styles above. A bright red lip with the black&white pieces is total Old-School Glam. And double the bright trouble with green or blue eyeliner with the Thread Social dress. You know, I’m a tarte girl, so check out their bounty of beauty goods.
