Scarfs are definitely a fall must have, but I can’t survive a fall without a great pair (or 6) of tall flat boots!
The accessory I’m falling back on is the vintage charm bracelet my mother received as a teenager. It’s full of beautiful sterling silver charms that were gifted to her by friends and family. There are so many memories attached to it…. like her sweet 16 charm, high school graduation charm and the replica engagement & wedding band charm my father gave her. It’s a truly special piece. She passed away when I was 5, so it’s definitely one of my most cherished possessions.
My favorite fall fashion is boots- especially over the knee boots! I love them in luxurious black suede- they look great with skinny jeans, leggings and skirts or dresses. They look classic but definitely have a rocker girl swag at the same time. Cannot wait to bust mine out!
My fall back piece this season is actually a new accessory I bought. It’s my right hand ring that’s bedazzled with purple jewel toned beads and catches everyone’s eye when I wear it. It is the perfect affordable pick me up I need in these recessionista times I am living in. I get compliments in all the circles that I am in – entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders, business colleagues, etc! It’s also another step out my conservative box as my life transitions.
Girrrrrrrl you know this season I’m falling back on my famed giraffe necklace circa J.Crew spring ’08. Picture a long, thin “gold” chain with a ‘lil gold plated giraffe charm. Simple, chic, GORGE neck candy, the perfect finishing touch for all my fave outfits. Everyone knows it as my signature piece. Don’t ask to borrow it though, this signature can’t be forged.

I’ll be falling back on knee high brown leather boots! Cannot put them with enough outfits, they’re fantastic! Oh and for everyday, loading up on mix & match bangles, which have been my obsession for a while now.

I’m COMPLETELY fall-ing head over heels with ankle booties and scarves…my Minnesota fall and winter will be fabulous and warmer with the right scarf around my neck!
Probably my cardigans. I know they’re not too cool and trendy right now but they’re warm, comfy, and go with a ton of outfits. I can’t help but wear them all the time!
The accessory that I would choose is a scarf because they can go with any outfit and you can wear it in all sorts of different ways. It is just the perfect accessory for fall!!
Definately Scarves, which is why this is so funny! I just bought a few and am so excited to start wearing them!! This would make a great addition to that. I have also really gotten back into headbands, like big funky, chunky ones(sometimes I use the scarves for that too)!!

Buckle down with a haute silhouette…
My fav Fall 09 accessory has got to be belts. Lately when I find myself getting dressed for work, play, bars, out etc, I can’t help but add one. Billowy tops beg for definition and boyfriend blazers are not tied together without them. Loop that skinny belt over the top of a pencil skirt/long cardi combo and you are instantly office chic. Sheath dresses benefit from the detail of them and trapeze dresses take on a whole new swing when buckled down. Add a sophisticated shape to that boho tunic-and-skinnies combo with a woven one. Any outfit for any occasion can benefit from belts. Bottom line- the possibilities are endless!
Good thing, too, because the Fall 09 belts are anything but drab. Sass up a blazer and riding boots with an extra long, triple wrapped patent skinny one. It will add shine, sophistication and class while making you look like you skipped dessert and hit the gym. A classic white tunic begs for a vibrant purple suede number; lay on the hardware for bonus points. Gunmetal studded ones add rock and thin metallics add glam. Braided ones add spunk while shedding lbs, and triple buckles double as a modern day corset. So, this fall, load up on Halloween candy, get seconds of turkey and pie… and cinch all your looks together with fabulous belts!
Thigh high sweater tights, because they look cute and they are nice and warm as well!
My favorite Fall accessory is this asymmetrical necklace thing I bought at a thrift store. I wear it with everything, even though I recently discovered something crusty on it that the previous owner must have left on it.
I don’t want to speculate too much about that.
Anyway, the necklace adds a little something extra to every outfit, even t-shirts and jeans and I plan to wear it all season long!
Okay, I’ll give you a hint: my latest accessory is kind of dorky. Also, it’s in the process of being acquired as a result of an eye doctor’s appointment. Hence the dorkiness… Yes, new frames (Coach Adelle frames) are on their way, and I LOVE them. Bet they’d look great with that scarf…
