Music Mix the Bourgeoisie and the Rebels

Mimi’s remix of Madge goes something like this…

Music mix the chicsters and style victims…”

And Sunday’s Grammy Awards certainly proved that! The styles were allllll over the map- from crazy chic to just plain ol’ cra-zay! There was a bevy of black, but the true chicsters brought that BoomBoomPow in every shade&shape…sorry, Fergs, not you though! So here are Mix Master Mimi’s Grammy picks!

Mimi’s MusicMakers!

  • Rihanna’s Elie Saab Haute Couture was the perfect mix of HighEnd and cutting edge. The angelic white was offset by her badass mohawk and general sourpuss disposition. Smile for me, Ri-Ri…
  • Lea Michele has been rockin’ the red carpet like an old pro in 2010 and it’s making me simply Glee-ful. This feathered frock sings “I love rock n’ roll” and “I feel pretty…o, so pretty!” all at once.
  • I loooooved Madame Gaga’s custom Armani gown- plus spiked accessory. It was over-the-top and fun amidst a sea of black one shoulder gowns. (Jessica McClintock, much?) True, it borderline resembles a grade school exhibit of the planets, but she’s a free bitch baby…so you just deal with it!
  • I have had a deep adoration for Jenny from the Block since I was on the block…ok, so I’ve never really been on said block, but anyways, Mamacita’s looking BANGIN’ in asymmetrical ice-white Versace. And that pose is classic “bow down be-yotch” J.Lo.
  • Miley, as in Cyrus, on my best dressed list? WHAAAAA? I know, right. But Ms. Party in the U.S.A’s smoke-green Herve Leger can.not be denied. She looks young, fresh and dare I say hot?
  • Purple has never looked so regal! And the hair and make-up? That’s some Real Love, Miss. Mary!

Those MusicFAKERs!

  • Britt-Britt, does your team HATE you? You need to file a suit, baby-boo, because this D&G ensemble is worse than K.Fed’s tall tees and jhorts. If.U.Seek.A.New.Stylist.
  • I know you’re over the moon to be engaged to that hairy-chested, skinny-pants wearing “comedian,” but darlin’ this Posen is not pretty. You look like a Golden Girl, but not in a good way- more like busty old lady :(
  • K.Bell, just a few questions: Who invited you? Why is there a mile between your “halter” and neckline? Have you heard of a brush? And again who invited you? That is all. Thxbye.
  • You have bored me to teeeeeeeeaaaaarrrrsssss once again, Bor-ancé. The nude-y metallic color palette, the fishtail hem, the somewhat smoky eye- Snooooozea-Palooza!
  • Ciara, sweetie, wearing half-pants/half-leotard (even by Givenchy) isn’t gonna sell them albums. Someone had to break it to ya. Sidenote, hair and make-up= flawless. I’ve never seen your face look more beautiful!

All right, HighEnders, I wanna hear your Grammy do’s and Grammy don’ts! Who was music to your eyes? And who made the record scratch? Gimme gimme ;)
