Books are not made for furniture, but there is nothing else that so beautifully furnishes a house.

Don’t let the chic ‘fits and endless fashion talk fool ya- I am a total geek about books. My most fond childhood memories include puppet shows and loads of books at the local public library. And the only thing better than an all-day amble through the mall is a serious sitdown in a bookstore. I can waste time in Barnes&Noble like none other.
In honor of my need for read(ing), I am showcasing some super stylish bookshelves for this latest installment of Home is Where the Style Is.
Books commingle with trinkets and do-dads to create a look that is clean, bright and fresh. Sign me up!
Yes, this is a child’s bookcase- covered in whimsy, toys…and chic. I don’t wanna grow up…
This shabby-chic cabinet is luxurious, not frivolous when reserved exclusively for your favorite novels and short stories.
SIGH. If ever a room epitomized Mimi, this is it! The colors, the kitschy style, the femme pretty, that velvet chaise lounge. SIGH.
I blame Belle (Beauty&Beast duh), because since 1st grade I’ve coveted floor-to-ceiling bookshelves…o, yea, and a castle.
I live for color coordination, so this GORG display is my oxygen. Reading Rainbow ;)
All right chicsters, it’s time to add a side of brain to that beauty. A few of my current reads- Case Stories (Kate Atkinson), The Help (Kathryn Sockett), Yves Saint Laurent, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (Rebecca Miller).
