My first (well, first and a half if we’re counting Rihanna, my inspiration) ray of style-light is love to love and really love her Kate Hudson.

She’s tiny and bubbly and care-free and so frickin’ tuned into fashion, I swear she’s hiding antenna ears under all of those perfect blonde locks. O, and how did I forget that she’s the mini-me of Hollywood’s eternal Cali Cutie- Miss. Goldie Hawn? So, Kate is also packing some pretty amah-zing genes.

Whether she’s rocking denim and do-whatever hair or a ball-gown and baubles, Kate constantly has us commoners thinking she came out of the womb looking that chic. She radiates playful sunshine just like her mom, and as a fellow mama’s girl, I can’t help but appreciate that generational hand-me-down :)

Kate flaunts her flawless, yet effortless style with the confidence of someone who not only understands, but also L-O-V-E-S the fashion game. Unafraid of thigh-grazing minis and daring prints and hues, this girl obvi just wants to have fun when it comes to her wardrobe. That “who gives a what” attitude is so refreshing in this age of calculated clothing and over-analyzed accessories. Kate seems like a normal (well, not normal…have you seen her lil bod?) gal who gets up everyday and puts on whatever makes her feel sexy and stylish. Now that is Almost Shameless.

If I’m feeling a little down in the style dumps- ya know, uninspired, sooo over my wardrobe and in desperate need of a pick-me-up- I hit up K Hud pics on style.com or people and let her style-shine brighten up my fashion funk.
